Danny Simpson is a right fullback, who made eight appearances for Manchester United during the 2007-2008 season.
Simpson was born in Salford and first joined Manchester United at nine. In 2006, aged nineteen, he went on loan to Royal Antwerp, Belgium, and stayed there most of the year. In 2007 he went on loan to Sunderland for the second-half of their promotion-winning season. At the start of the 2007-2008 season he made a collection of appearances for the Manchester United senior team, appearing in the Premiership, the League Cup, the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League. At the end of that season he went on loan to Ipswich Town, and then spent the 2008-2009 season on loan at Blackburn Rovers. At the start of the 2009-2010 season, Simpson moved to Newcastle United, initially on loan, then (from January 2010), on a permanent contract.
